Bestrijden van homofobie bij jongeren

Om die dialoog aan te wakkeren, wordt een product ontwikkeld waarmee men actief met jongeren aan de slag kan gaan. De ontwikkeling van het product wordt ondersteund door een participatief proces, waarbij de visie van kinderen en jongeren zelf een duidelijke plaats krijgt. Het project wordt meer specifiek onderbouwd door focusgesprekken en richt zich tot jongeren tussen 14 en 21 jaar, met een specifieke focus op moslimjongeren. Bij het project worden ook de omgeving van de jongeren en de sleutelfiguren binnen deze omgeving betrokken. Summary: The aim of this research project is to counter ‘homophobia’ and to increase the tolerance of youngsters in Flanders, more specifically Muslim youngsters, towards the gay and lesbian community by means of stimulating a dialogue regarding this topic. To initiate such dialogue, a product is developed that allows to actively work with youngsters around these topics. The intention is to make the development of this product a participative process in which the ideas and perceptions of children and youngsters between the ages of 14 and 21 are included. The methodology of this project includes group interviews. Furthermore, this research includes the social context of the youngsters and key figures within this context.
