In deze aanbeveling vraagt PACE het Comité van Ministers zijn controle op te voeren wat betreft de naleving van internationale juridische instrumenten inzake gezinshereniging in de lidstaten. Voorstellen moeten gedaan worden voor harmonisering en implementatie van een gezinsherenigingsbeleid, waarbij het begrip “gezin” ruim geïnterpreteerd dient te worden. Aanmeldingen dienen op een positieve en humane wijze te worden behandeld, en het respect voor alle mensenrechten van de betrokken personen dient te worden gegarandeerd in alle stadia van de procedure. |
| Summary: |
In this Recommendation, PACE asks the Committee of Ministers to increase its monitoring of compliance by member states with international legal instruments regarding family reunion. Proposals for the harmonisation and implementation of family reunion policies must be drawn up, applying a broad interpretation of the concept of family. Applications must be considered in a positive and humane spirit, and respect for the human rights of all those involved should be ensured at all stages.
