In Deel I verwijst het Internationaal Verdrag inzake de uitbanning van alle vormen van rassendiscriminatie naar de plichten van lidstaten. Deel II richt het Comité en de vier toezichtmechanismen op (periodieke rapportage, vooruitgeschoven waarschuwing, interstatelijke klachten en individuele klachten), en Deel III behandelt de algemene bepalingen. ICERD refereert niet specifiek naar kinderen, maar het Verdrag is wel op hen van toepassing. |

In its Part I, the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination refers to State parties obligations. Part II establishes the Committee and its four monitoring mechanisms (the periodic reporting procedure, the early-warning procedure, the examination of inter-state complaints and the examination of individual complaints), and Part III governs general provisions. ICERD does not contain specific provisions on children, but the entire Convention applies to them and adults alike. |
