Hoe leven ze? Wat denken ze van school? Hoe kijken ze naar familie, vrienden, de samenleving? Het wordt allemaal onderzocht, soms éénmalig, soms ook structureel. Al deze onderzoeken vallen onder de noemer ‘jeugdonderzoek'. Maar zijn deze jeugdonderzoeken allemaal wel zo goed? Geven ze weer wat echt leeft bij jongeren, hoe ze denken en leven? En zijn ze voldoende bruikbaar voor beleid en zij die elke dag met die jongeren aan de slag gaan? Het is de centrale vraag van deze bijdrage. Besluiten doen de vijf auteurs met de vaststelling dat jeugdonderzoek jongeren niet mag verengen tot passieve informatiebronnen. Goed jeugdonderzoek erkent jongeren als volwaardige betekenisgevers van hun eigen leven. Het is voor onderzoekers echter niet evident om over de ruimte te beschikken die nodig is om kinderen en jongeren te erkennen en waarderen. Toch hopen de auteurs onderzoekers te inspireren om hierrond doordachte keuzes te maken. Ze besluiten:goed jeugdonderzoek is ook een beetje aan jeugdwerk doen. Summary: Young people in Flanders are a frequently investigated target group. How do they live? What is their perception of school? What is their view on family, friends, society? It is all examined, sometimes as a one-off and sometimes structurally. All these studies fall under the heading of 'youth research'. But are all these investigations all so good? Do they represent what is really important for young people? What's in their minds and how they live? And are they adequate for policy and for those who work every day with young people? This is the central question of this paper. The five authors conclude that youth research can't reduce youth to passive informants. Good youth research recognizes young people as full meaning-makers about their own lives. However, it is not easy for researchers to get the space that is needed to recognize and appreciate children and young people. Nevertheless, the authors hope to inspire researchers to make informed choices. They conclude: good youth research is also a bit youth care. Kinderen in kwetsbare situaties:Stedelijke gebiedenSamenvatting: Aanvankelijk was het project ‘Toegankelijkheid in de jeugdhulp’ een initiatief van verschillende organisaties zoals het CAW, JAC, CLB, CGG, K&G die rechtstreeks toegankelijke jeugdhulp aanbieden. Vervolgens werd het project verder uitgebreid naar organisaties die werken met jongeren zoals straathoekwerk, jeugdwerk enz. (onder andere vzw Cachet, JES, D’Broej, Bru-Stars, OTA, Minderhedenforum).
De opdrachtgever voor dit project is IROJ (Intersectoraal Regionaal Overleg Jeugdhulp) Brussel en de subsidies komen van de Vlaamse Gemeen¬schapscommissie (VGC), waaronder een deel stedenfondsmiddelen zijn. De penhouder van dit project was CAW Brussel vzw en werd door CAW Brussel en Cachet vzw uitgevoerd. Dit project liep van 1 februari 2017 tot 30 april 2018.
Doel van het project is om de toegang tot jeugdhulp in Brussel na te gaan en vervolgens voorstellen te formuleren voor de organisaties binnen de RTJ.
De doelgroep van dit project omvat jongeren tussen 12 en 25 jaar, brugfiguren (zoals jeugdwerkers, straathoekwerkers, leerkrachten, enz.) en jeugdhulpverleners binnen de rechtstreeks toegankelijke jeugdhulp (RTJ) in Brussel.Summary: Initially, the project "Accessibility in youth assistance" was an initiative of various organizations such as the CAW, JAC, CLB, CGG, K&G that offer directly accessible youth assistance. The project was then expanded to include organizations that work with young people such as street work, youth work, etc. (including Cachet, JES, D’Broej, Bru-Stars, OTA, Minorities Forum).
The client for this project is IROJ (Intersectoral Regional Consultation Youth Assistance) Brussels and the subsidies come from the Flemish Community Commission (VGC), which includes a part of the city fund resources. The pen holder for this project was CAW Brussel vzw and was implemented by CAW Brussel and Cachet vzw. This project ran from 1 February 2017 to 30 April 2018.
The aim of the project is to examine the access to youth assistance in Brussels and then to formulate proposals for the organizations within the RTJ.
