Conflictsituaties leiden tot een verhoogde kwetsbaarheid van kinderen en adolescenten, en niet in het minste op het vlak van hun seksuele en reproductieve rechten en noden. Die beperken zich niet enkel tot de problematiek van kindsoldaten, seksslaven en allerlei vormen van seksueel misbruik, maar omvatten ook seksuele opvoeding, toegang tot gezinsplanning, pre- en postnatale zorg, veilige bevallingen, abortus en post-abortusverzorging, SOA/HIV/aids. Het tegemoetkomen aan deze rechten en noden vereist een heel specifieke aanpak. ICRH voert een literatuurstudie uit en maakt een ‘state of the art’ inzake seksuele en reproductieve gezondheid van kinderen en adolescenten in conflictsituaties. Er wordt ook een gevalstudie uitgevoerd in de Democratische republiek van Congo. |
| Summary: |
Conflict situations lead to an increased vulnerability of children and adolescents, not in the least in the field of their sexual and reproductive rights and needs. These are not limited to the issues of child soldiers, sex slaves and all kinds of sexual abuse, but also comprise sexual education, access to family planning, ante- and post natal care, safe deliveries, abortion and post-abortion care, STD/HIV/aids. Meeting these rights and needs requires a very specific approach. ICRH conducts a literature review and drafts a state-of-the-art in the field of sexual and reproductive health of children and adolescents in conflict settings. Furthermore, this project carries out a case study in the Democratic Republic of Congo. |
