Dit project betreft onderzoek naar herstelrecht versus jeugddelinquentie binnen de Baltische Staten. De algemene doelstelling van het project bestaat erin een effectieve ontwikkeling van herstelrecht te promoten als een reactie op jeugdcriminaliteit in de Baltische staten (Letland, Litouwen en Estland). Tevens beoogt deze studie wederzijdse kennis van ‘best practices’ en initiatieven te ondersteunen in deze landen, maar ook daarbuiten. Activiteiten van de Leuvense partners zijn voornamelijk gericht op het opstellen van een onderzoeksmethodologie en een vergelijkende analyse van herstelrechtelijke ontwikkelingen in andere EU lidstaten. |

This project concerns research into restorative justice versus juvenile delinquency in the Baltic States. The research focuses on the impact of the philosophy and principles of restorative justice as a response to juvenile crime in the Baltic States. The purpose of the research is to support ‘best practices’ and initiatives in these countries and beyond. Activities of the partners in Leuven (Flanders, Belgium) mainly focus on the preparation of a research methodology and a comparative analysis of restorative justice developments in the Baltic states with other EU countries. |
