In dit document legt het Comité haar Slotbeschouwingen voor inzake de uitdagingen en verwezenlijkingen met betrekking tot de implementatie van het Verdrag in België. De verschillende onderdelen behandelen de genomen follow-up maatregelen en geboekte vooruitgang, alsook de belangrijkste werkpunten en aanbevelingen. Het Comité vraagt België om zich op alle voorstellen te concentreren, maar vooral op een verbeterde coördinatie, dataverzameling, discriminatie tegen kinderen die in armoede leven, het recht van het kind om gehoord te worden, lijfstraffen en jeugd(straf)recht.
In bijlage vindt men het gecombineerde derde en vierde Belgische Rapport, de List of Issues van het Comité en het Belgische antwoord daarop (3), en de Slotbeschouwingen zelf. Ook wordt een link voorzien met het alternatief rapport van de NGO’s. |
| Summary: |
In this document, the Committee presents its Concluding Observations on the challenges and achievements regarding Belgium’s implementation of the CRC. The different sections address follow-up measures undertaken and progress achieved; main areas of concern and recommendations. The Committee asks Belgium to focus on all its suggestions, but in particular on improved coordination, data collection, discrimination against children living in poverty, the right of the child to be heard, corporal punishment and juvenile justice.
Attached one finds the Belgian combined Third and Fourth Periodic Report, the Committee’s List of Issues and the Belgian reply thereto (3), and the Concluding Observations themselves. A link to the NGO alternative report is provided as well. |
