Deze resolutie handelt over strategieën en over concrete maatregelen inzake het reduceren van geweld tegen kinderen op het gebied van criminaliteitspreventie en strafrecht. Deze resolutie houdt natuurlijk rekening met de Conventie van de Rechten van het Kind. Geweld tegen kinderen is nooit gerechtvaardigd en het is de plicht van de staat om kinderen te beschermen tegen alle vormen van geweld en inbreuk tegen de mensenrechten. Het verbieden, voorkomen en onderzoeken van gewelddadige zaken tegen kinderen, het verminderen van straffeloosheid, het bieden van hulp aan slachtoffers en het voorkomen van opnieuw slachtoffer te worden zijn onder andere belangrijke pijlers in deze resolutie. Er wordt gepleit pleit om op een sensitieve manier met kinderen om te gaan en hun rechten, waardigheid en noden te respecteren. |

This resolution concerns the strategies and practical measures on the elimination of violence against children in the field of crime prevention and criminal justice. This resolution takes the Convention on the Rights of the Child into account. Violence against children is never justified and it is the duty of the state to protect children from all forms of violence and violation of human rights. Prohibit, prevent and investigate acts of violence against children, eliminate impunity and provide assistance to victims, including the prevention of revictimization, are important pillars in this resolution. The resolution advocates to treat children in a sensitive way and respect their rights, dignity and needs. |
