In dit document legt het Comité voor de Rechten van het Kind haar slotbeschouwingen voor inzake de uitdagingen en verwezenlijkingen met betrekking tot de implementatie van het Verdrag inzake de Rechten van het Kind in België. De verschillende onderdelen behandelen de genomen follow-up maatregelen en geboekte vooruitgang; alsook de belangrijkste werkpunten en aanbevelingen. België dient vooral een aantal algemene implementatiemaatregelen te nemen; de beginselen van non-discriminatie, het belang van het kind en de mening van het kind te respecteren; burgerrechten en vrijheden, gezinsomgeving en alternatieve zorg, basisgezondheidszorg en welzijn, onderwijs en vrije tijd te bevorderen; geweld te bestrijden; en bijzondere beschermingsmaatregelen te nemen voor niet-begeleide minderjarige vreemdelingen (NBMV), slachtoffers van mensenhandel en ontvoering, en kinderen in jeugd(straf)rechtelijke procedure. |

In this document, the Committee on the Rights of the Child presents its Concluding Observations on the challenges and achievements regarding Belgium’s implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child. The different sections address follow-up measures undertaken and progress achieved; and principal subjects of concern and recommendations. In particular, Belgium must enhance a number of general measures of implementation, ensure non-discrimination, best interests of the child and views of the child; protect civil rights and freedoms, family environment and alternative care, basic health and welfare, education, leisure and cultural activities; combat violence against children; and take special measures of protection for unaccompanied migrant children (UMC), victims of trafficking and abduction and children in conflict with the law. |
