| Samenvatting: | In dit document legt het Comité haar Slotbeschouwingen voor inzake de uitdagingen en verwezenlijkingen met betrekking tot de implementatie van het Verdrag in België. De verschillende onderdelen behandelen de genomen follow-up maatregelen en geboekte vooruitgang; alsook de belangrijkste werkpunten en aanbevelingen. België dient vooral een aantal algemene implementatiemaatregelen te nemen; de beginselen van non-discriminatie en het recht van het kind op zinvolle participatie te respecteren; geweld, misbruik, verwaarlozing en mishandeling tegen te gaan; en bijzondere beschermingsmaatregelen te nemen voor niet-begeleide minderjarigen, slachtoffers van seksueel geweld en mensenhandel, en kinderen in jeugd(straf)rechterlijke procedures.
In bijlage vindt men het Belgische tweede periodieke rapport, de List of Issues van het Comité, een samenvatting van de sessie van het Comité waarin het Belgische rapport op tafel lag, en de Slotbeschouwingen zelf. Ook wordt een link voorzien met het alternatief rapport van de NGO’s. |
| Summary: | In this document, the Committee presents its Concluding Observations on the challenges and achievements regarding Belgium’s implementation of the CRC. The different sections address follow-up measures undertaken and progress achieved; and principal subjects of concern and recommendations. In particular, Belgium must enhance a number of general measures of implementation; ensure non-discrimination and the right of the child to participate meaningfully; combat violence, abuse, neglect and maltreatment; and take special measures of protection for unaccompanied minors, victims of sexual exploitation and trafficking, and children in conflict with the law.
Attached one finds the Belgian second periodic report, the Committee’s List of Issues a summary record of the Committee session in which the Belgian report was discussed, and the Concluding Observations themselves. A link to the NGO alternative report is provided as well. |
