| Samenvatting: | Het rapport wordt ingediend overeenkomstig met de resoluties van de Raad voor Mensenrechten 8/4, 17/3 en 26/17. De rapporteur onderzoekt de publiek-private samenwerking in het onderwijs, die onlosmakelijk verbonden is met uitbreidende privatisering. Hij wijst op de gevolgen voor het recht op onderwijs en voor de beginselen van sociale rechtvaardigheid en gelijkheid. Ten slotte heeft hij een reeks aanbevelingen met het oog op de ontwikkeling van een effectief regelgevend kader, samen met implementatiestrategieën voor publiek- private samenwerking in het onderwijs, in overeenstemming met de verplichtingen van de Staat voor het recht op onderwijs, zoals vastgelegd in internationale mensenrechtenverdragen en de noodzaak om onderwijs als een publiek goed te waarborgen. |
| Summary: | The report is submitted pursuant to Human Rights Council resolutions 8/4, 17/3 and 26/17. The Special Rapporteur examines public-private partnerships in education, which are inextricably linked to rapidly expanding privatization. He highlights their implications for the right to education and for the principles of social justice and equity. Lastly, he offers a set of recommendations with a view to developing an effective regulatory framework, along with implementation strategies for public-private partnerships in education, in keeping with State obligations for the right to education, as laid down in international human rights conventions, and the need to safeguard education as a public good. |
