Er werden twee samples gebruikt van kinderen uit verschillende landen en locaties, die toch een vergelijkbare cultuur en socio-demografische eigenschappen hebben. De resultaten toonden aan dat er een interessant aanbod bestond van gelijkaardige antwoorden, wat aantoont dat er een homogeen standpunt bestaat bij kinderen over praktische situaties met betrekking tot rechten in het dagdagelijkse leven (met uitzondering van ten minste drie dilemma’s). Rechten in verband met opleiding en leren; het voorzien van basisbehoeften; en privacy en participatie worden gewoonlijk erkend door kinderen in beide samples. Rechten in verband met spelen en vrije tijd en zorg worden door een kleiner aantal erkend. Summary: In this study, a survey was held to research the point of view with regards to children’s right. Two samples were used of children from different countries and locations that do have a similar culture and socio-demographic characteristics. The results showed an interesting range of similar answers, which suggests that there exists a homogeneous children’s point of view about practical situations with relations to rights in the day to day life (with exception of at least three dilemma’s). Rights that are related to education and learning; the provision of basic needs; and privacy and participation are recognized more commonly by children in both samples. Rights related to play and leisure and care are those recognized to a lesser extent.
