Hoewel de juridische en financiële instrumenten van de EU inzake asiel, migratie en mensenhandel direct of indirect de situatie van niet-begeleide minderjarigen behandelen, is een grotere samenhang en een betere samenwerking nodig binnen de EU en in de landen van oorsprong en transit. Dit actieplan identificeert verschillende problemen en biedt een aantal oplossingen die verband houden met de situatie van niet-begeleide minderjarigen. Het erkent het gebrek aan data over deze minderjarigen en zet drie actielijnen uiteen: preventie, bescherming en duurzame oplossingen. |
| Summary: |
Although EU legislative and financial instruments on asylum, immigration and trafficking in human beings address, either directly or indirectly, the situation of unaccompanied minors, greater coherence and better cooperation is needed within the EU as well as with countries of origin and transit. This action plan identifies several problems and presents a number of solutions relating to the situation of unaccompanied minors. It acknowledges the lack of data on these minors and sets out three main strands for action: prevention, protection and durable solutions. |
