Deze resolutie gaat over de Rechten van het Kind. Er komen heel wat relevante beleidsinstrumenten aan bod in deze resolutie. Er wordt beklemtoond dat het Verdrag inzake de Rechten van het Kind bepaalde standaarden inhoudt die zorgen voor de bevordering en de bescherming van de Rechten van het Kind. Ook benadrukt men het belang van de optionele protocollen met betrekking tot de Conventie en wordt er opgeroepen tot een universele ratificatie en effectieve implementatie, ook met betrekking tot de mensenrechten. In deze resolutie worden allerlei onderwerpen die in verband staan met kinderrechten besproken. |

This resolution is about the Rights of the Child. Many relevant policy instruments are discussed in this resolution. Emphasizing that the Convention on the Rights of the Child constitutes the standard in the promotion and protection of the rights of the child, and bearing in mind the importance of the Optional Protocols to the Convention, and calling for their universal ratification and effective implementation, as well as that of other human rights instruments. A variety of topics relating to children’s rights are discussed in this resolution. |
