Dit rapport is voorgelegd door de General Assembly van de UN door de Special Rapporteur Vernor Munoz die actief betrokken is bij de integratie van mensenrechten in de strategische planning, voornamelijk op het gebied van onderwijs. Het rapport richt zich op het menselijk recht op integrale seksuele voorlichting en introduceert het onderwerp van het recht op seksuele voorlichting, het wordt geplaatst in de context van het patriarchaat en de controle van de seksualiteit. Er wordt gekeken naar de onderlinge afhankelijkheid van seksualiteit, gezondheid en onderwijs en de relatie van dit recht aan andere rechten, bekeken vanuit een gender- en diversiteitsperspectief. Het rapport geeft verder het recht op seksuele voorlichting weer in het kader van het internationaal humanitair recht en analyseert de internationale en regionale normen. Het richt zich op het recht op seksuele voorlichting waarbij de verantwoordelijkheid van de Staat mee in rekening wordt gehouden en waarbij regionale en nationale trends, verschillende perspectieven en de belangrijke rol van het gezin en de gemeenschap worden geanalyseerd. Het rapport sluit af met het herhalen van de noodzaak en het belang van het recht op seksuele voorlichting en geeft concrete aanbevelingen voor de staten en de internationale gemeenschap. |

A report submitted to the United Nations General Assembly by Vernor Muñoz Villalobos, UN Special Rapporteur on the right to education, actively involved in mainstreaming human rights in strategic planning, especially in the field of education. This report focuses on the human right to integral sexual education and introduces the topic of the right to sexual education, placing it in the context of patriarchy and control of sexuality. It looks at the interdependence of sexuality, health and education and the relationship of this right to other rights from a gender and diversity perspective. The report further presents the right to sexual education in the context of international human rights law and analyses international and regional standards.
