Deze Verklaring identificeert 6 gebieden waarin lidstaten de bescherming van vrouwen en kinderen in noodsituaties of in gewapende conflicten bijzonder ernstig moeten nemen. Concreet duidt de Verklaring op aanvallen en bombardementen, het gebruik van chemische en bacteriële wapens, het 1925 Geneve Protocol en de 1949 Verdragen van Genève, inspanningen en maatregelen door lidstaten, vormen van onderdrukken en ander wrede of onmenselijke behandeling, en onvervreemdbare rechten. |
| Summary: |
This Declaration identifies 6 areas in which strict observation is required from the member states as regards the protection of women and children in situations of emergency and armed conflict. Concretely, it addresses attacks and bombing, the use of chemical and bacteriological weapons, the 1925 Geneva Protocol and the 1949 Geneva Conventions, efforts and measures of States, forms of repression and cruel or inhuman treatment, and inalienable rights. |
