De Annex bij de Richtlijnen van Riyad bevat beginselen voor de preventie van jeugddelinquentie. In Deel I worden fundamentele beginselen behandeld. Deel II weidt uit over het bereik van de Richtlijnen, terwijl Deel III gaat over algemene preventie. In Deel IV worden socialiseringsprocessen uiteengezet (via het gezin, onderwijs, de gemeenschap en de massamedia). Deel V gaat dan in op sociaal beleid en Deel VI op wetgeving en administratie van het jeugdrecht. Tenslotte concludeert Deel VII met een aantal bepalingen inzake onderzoek, beleidsontwikkeling en coördinatie. |

The Annex to the Riyadh Guidelines contains principles for the prevention of juvenile delinquency. In Part I, it addresses fundamental principles. Part II elaborates upon the scope of the Guidelines, whereas Part III is about general prevention. Part IV then discusses socialisation processes (through family, education, community, and mass media). Part V addresses social policy and Part VI legislation and juvenile justice administration. Finally, Part VII concludes with a number of provisions on research, policy development and coordination. |
