Dit besluit regelt interlandelijke adoptie in Vlaanderen. Teamleden en medewerkers van adoptiediensten en onderzoekscentra zijn gehouden aan de naleving van de fundamentele rechten van het kind. De Vlaamse Centrale Autoriteit controleert het buitenlandse kanaal in samenwerking et andere relevante sectoren. Ze onderzoekt met name of het kanaal legaal is, alsook of er voldoende garanties zijn dat de adoptie tot stand komt in het hoger belang van het kind en met eerbied voor diens fundamentele rechten (artikel 34, 48 en 74). |
| Summary: |
This Decision regulates inter-country adoptions in Flanders. Team members and staff of adoption services and research centres are obliged to respect the fundamental rights of the child. The Flemish Central Authority must monitor the foreign channel in collaboration with other relevant sectors. It should examine in particular whether the channel is legal and whether there are sufficient guarantees that the adoption is achieved in the best interests of the child with respect for his or her fundamental rights (Article 34, 48 and 74). |
