Dit besluit doelt op de totstandbrenging van één kaderprogramma voor de medefinanciering van projecten van initiatiefnemers van de lidstaten alsook kandidaat-lidstaten op het gebied van justitie en binnenlandse zaken. Het stelt daarbij een gecoördineerde en multidisciplinaire aanpak in staat van de verschillende activiteiten betreffende de totstandbrenging van de ruimte van vrijheid, veiligheid en rechtvaardigheid alsook preventie en bestrijding van de georganiseerde misdaad in de Europese Unie.

| Summary: |
This decision aims to establish a single framework programme for the co-financing of projects presented by promoters in the Member States and candidate countries in the areas of justice and home affairs. It thereby enables a coordinated, multidisciplinary approach to the various activities relating to the creation of the area of freedom, security and justice as well as preventing and fighting organised crime in the European Union.
